Brandid Sports: Lorena Wins A State Title And Coach Biles Gets Win 200
The Lorena Leopards used a strong run game and a fierce defense to win the Texas UIL 3A Division I state championship Thursday at AT&T Stadium. Lorena defeated a talented Brock Eagles ball club 35-18. Not only did Lorena Head Football Coach Ray Biles win a state title, he won his 200th game in the process.

“It’s not about me, it’s about these kids.” Biles said. We knew we had to match their physicality.”
The Leopard offense racked up 370 yards of total offense. Most of their yards came on the ground and from senior Running Back Rhett Hanson. Hanson had 196 of the Leopards 207 rushing yards. He found the end zone 3 times from 1, 2, and 54 yards. Hanson was selected as the Offensive MVP of The Game
Quarterback Ryne Abel was 12-18 for 163 yards and a score. Abel connected with Camden Brock for a 4-yard touchdown at the end of the 3rd quarter. Sophomore Athlete Jadon Porter led the team in receiving with 5 catches for 85 yards.
Brock had their moments and bright spots. Senior Running Back Kutter Wilson ran for 171 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Moody went 14-25 for 170 yards and 2 touchdowns. Minnesota commit Nathan Jones and Wideout Elijiah Potts caught touchdown passes.

Braxton Bankston was named Defensive MVP of the game. He had 5 tackles, 3.5 tackles, and 2 sacks. Braylon Henry led the Leopards in tackles with 7.
