Frisco Dominates Sherman

The Frisco Raccoons got a 52-9 district victory over the Sherman Bearcats. Frisco made plays in all three phases of the game to remain undefeated in district play.

Frisco Head Football Coach Jeff Harbert was very complimentary of his teams performance, "Our guys did a great job tonight. They came out offensively and were on fire. " Coach Harbert continued to praise his kids efforts. "I'm very proud of our kids for handling their business, getting off the bus ready to play some football, and playing a physical brand of football that makes us proud."

The Raccoon offense put up 501 yards of total offense with 442 of it coming on the ground. Senior Running Back Jordon Hamilton led the Frisco ground attack with 125 yards and a touchdown rushing and a 9-yard touchdown catch. "Our offensive line is going crazy! I see them getting better every game. One of the tops in the state."

Junior Running Back Keane Ramos was the next leading rusher adding 90 yards and 2 touchdowns to the Raccoons big night. Sophomore Running Back Reed Engleman added a rushing touchdown in the second quarter also.

Frisco Sophomore Quarterback Camren Gibson was very efficient through the air. Gibson complete 5 of his 7 passes, with 2 of those completions going for touchdowns. Gibson made good decisions all night with the football in the Raccoons Wing-T offense.

Frisco Senior Athlete Ismael Taylor had a big night in all three phases of the game. Taylor had 96 total yards, 2 touchdowns (Rushing/Receiving), and played lockdown defense at corner. Taylor is definitely having fun playing football. "I just love to make plays, I just want the ball in my hands. My teammates and coaches put me in great positions that allow me to make plays."

The Bearcats couldn't get in a rhythm offensively and got wore down defensively by the Raccoons ground game. There were a few bright spots for the Bearcats, as Sophomore Quarterback Caleb Orr came in and made some plays with his legs and arm. Orr threw for 76 yards and a score on the last play of the game to Sophomore Wideout Colby Ray Short. Running Back Gerkavion Hughes was the Bearcats leading rusher with 29 yards on the ground.

Frisco (5-1/4-0) will face Frisco Heritage (10/13) after a bye week this week. Sherman (2-3/1-2) will travel to Frisco to play Heritage Friday night (10/6).
