Paetow Quarterback CJ Dumas Jr had a big night leading the Panther offense with 165 yards passing. His favorite target of the night was senior Wideout Kole Wilson, who had 9 catches for 94 yards.

College Station scored on the first and final touchdowns of the game with explosive plays. Senior Quarterback Jett Huff hit Traylen Suel on a bubble screen and he took it 80-yards to give the Cougars a 7-0 lead. Huff threw for 215 yards and the score to Suel. Suel was the Cougars leading receiver with 11 catches for 169 yards. Running Back Marquise Collins had another monster night with 192 yards and 2 touchdowns rushing. His 71-yard touchdown run to send the game into overtime.

But the Paetow defense came up with big plays and key stops to keep the cougars out of the end zone. Defensive MVP Kentrell Webb had a big interception in the end zone to keep College Station from taking the lead right before halftime. Webb had 8 tackles, a tackle for loss, and the interception.

Paetow opened in 2017 with only 9th and 10th graders and now they are state champions in 2021!
