The longest consecutive played high school football game in the state of Texas did not disappoint. The 122nd Battle Of The Ax was just that….a battle. Sherman (TX) started the game off with a 14 point lead, but Denison(TX) used a strong running game and dominant defensive performance to keep the Ax in Denison for the eighth straight year. Denison pulled out the 41-23 victory Thursday night.
