Written by: Nick Debose

The two time defending 5A State Champs Dallas South Oak Cliff (SOC) showed they are in position to make it three in a row with a 42-21 victory over rival Lancaster Tigers. The Golden Bears used all three phases of the game to get their first victory of the year.

South Oak Cliff Running Back Danny Green Jr had a big night, rushing 29 times for 193 yards and 2 touchdowns. Green ran behind the massive Golden Bears Offensive Line all night long. Running Back Khalil Ewell added 67 yard and a touchdown also.

Quarterback William Little went 12-20 for 208 yard and 2 touchdowns. Little did a great job spreading the ball to multiple receivers. Wideouts Daveon Ennis (63 yards), Rickey Evans (60 yards/touchdown), Eli Baesa (44 yards, and Texas tech commit Trey Jackson (touchdown) all contributed in their own way. SOC's offense performance showed that they definitely have a lot of explosive weapons.

The SOC defense swarmed and made plays all night, but they had their hands full with Lancaster Running Back Kewan Lacy who rushed for 208 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Nebraska commit, opened the game with a 61-yard touchdown run. Mar'Kel Porter contributed a rushing touchdown also.

Both teams schedule doesn't get any easier as SOC (1-1) will face defending 6A Champion DeSoto (TX) next week and Lancaster (1-1) will take on Denton Guyer.
